Energy in the Cloud boosts electrical resilience with innovative technology

Energy in the Cloud, a spin-off from the energy and telecommunications group Estabanell, is committed to transforming the management of electrical networks through the intelligent coordination of power electronics devices. The company, led by CEO and founder Ramon Gallart, aims to eliminate the gap between urban and rural networks, ensuring the same quality of service everywhere by combining batteries with advanced technology. Its main product, the Intelligent Distribution Power Router (IDPR), evolved into the VoVo model, along with the Noka filter, enables optimization of both distribution and communication within the network. Originating from European projects such as Smart Rural Grid, the startup has validated its solutions in real-world environments and is working towards certification. According to Gallart, coexisting with Estabanell’s traditional model has been key to bringing new perspectives to the sector, overcoming challenges such as semiconductor availability and regulatory compliance.
